Exclusive :MiUi Or Cyanogen ?

Exclusive : MiUi Or CyanogenMod ?

The  launch of Oneplus One changed the market forever apart from Micromax Yu series.Cyanogenmod has a larger fan base now with most of the audience being familiar to the modifications and the good looking UI offered.CyanogenMod was the only ROM developer back then during the early stage of Android i.e. Froyo .MiUi on the other hand become a well-known face with the launch of its own brand 'Xiaomi'.Even though its one of the leading makers in China, its still establishing itself in the Western Region.MiUi also entered the ROM scene and instantly became popular as it had a iOS look and feel.Although it was laggy more than it is now with bugs mostly.
I dont how CyanogenMod was named but if you observe the earlier versions like CM7 you will have a default blue theme. While MiUi must be the derived from last two words of the parent company Xiaomi.
The reason why i thought about writing this is because MiUi has seen a great improvement over the years. As a result, now more ROMs based on MiUi are available.Same goes with the most popular custom ROM 'Cyanogenmod' has ParanoidAndroid,Resurrection Series roms based on  it.So lets get started.

MiUi 6 looks interesting and eye-catching.

Google's Android Lollipop is by far the best.

For starters,MiUi is a multi-base ROM meaning it can made on a Samsung-based source or a Cyanogenmod. While currently CyanogenMod is preparing its own SDK.Its based on AOSP i.e. the sources provided by Google.CyanogenMod has less bloatware when compared to MiUi.MiUi possess most of its own application eg.Mi Accounts,Mi Cloud etc.Even though MiUi based ROMs might not have them. When we tested both of them CyanogenMod was superior due to its familiar developer scene. While MiUi gave us a slight improvement than the Stock ROMs.But can give good results upon changing kernel.Certain issues like easy heating of device when using WiFi or Camera can be observed. Also most of the apps have chinese language somewhere or the other.

MiUi

Can have slow-motion camera unlike CyanogeMod if based on Samsung source.

Themes along with individual theme support.

Various useful apps such as Security,Mi Cloud.

Some CyanogenMod Features Like Heads-up Notifications.

Prevent pocket dials.

⦁ Lock Apps In Memory.

MiUi ROMs are mainly chinese due to which not every device will have multi-language and should be optimized or will be laggy.MiUi has a battery saver which switches profile at the given time from Performance To Battery.S3 currently has a optimized MiUi 6 ROM which has been reviewed by us.
CyanogenMod is into its CM12 which is based on Lollipop. And has bright colours.Cyanogen does not require any Battery saver because it has built-in deep sleep mode.Although we haven't tried any ROM yet we will in the near future.Cyanogenmod is becoming too common now-a-days as many companies have joined hands with it.

Author's Word :
I really would like to see the changes after Android M launch because it has introduced many similar CM and MiUi features. Also MiUi made the kitkat version when the lollipop was released. So will they skip Lollipop?Lets see..MiUi creates many folders in your external card which is actually the backup for all your themes, accounts etc.But its a matter of choice if you have more than 4GB.

VERDICT:-
Want to save your battery go for CyanogenMod(well actually go for AOSP).And If You Want A Change,Go For MiUi.And if you want performance, battery go for TouchWiz.
